was the Healing Ministry of the Church today. One of the keynote speakers was Rev. Tommy Hayes who shared with us the healing ministry of Jesus Christ while he was here on this earth. Jesus Christ’s personal mission statement is found in Luke
4:18-19 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." The scripture tells us in James 5:13-16 Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. 14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
If “ANY” are in trouble=they should pray,
If “ANY” are sick= they should pray,
If “ANY” have sinned= they should pray! Who is“they”? It is us, it is us the church. We can pray for ourselves, we can pray for others and we can pray for the world.
“ANY” means every one of us, all the world can be healed, the entire world can have their troubles removed, and the entire
world can have their sins forgiven…Just pray! That is what will happen when the Kingdom of Heaven arrives but until then we are to bring the Kingdom here on this earth.
What happens if someone isn’t healed, keep on praying. We can never give up on our prayers to the Lord because they will be
answered in time. Most healing is a process, little by little, step by step. The scripture tells us that when the kingdom comes that Jesus will wipe away every tear; there will be no more death, no more crying or pain. Until the kingdom comes, there will never be complete healing because this world will never be perfect until the coming of Jesus Christ.
We all are in need of healing and Jesus has told us to bring our burdens to Him. “Come to me all who are weary and I will give you rest.” How has my heart been broken? Have I withheld my broken heart from God? What burdens have I carried for too long?
What do I need to let God have? What healing do I need to be whole?
This is my body broken for you, this is my blood shed for you.
Be Healed by My Stripes!
